To protect your privacy, GiGa encrypts your password and cannot reset it. This mechanism ensures a high level of confidentiality for your data, but it requires you to remember your password. If you forget your password, the only solution is to delete your account.
To avoid this situation, follow these steps:
- Request the password hint: When you created your account, you provided a hint to help you remember your password. You can ask us to send you this hint by email.
- Check your browsers: It is possible that your password is saved in one of your browsers. Check your browser settings to see if your password is stored there.
If you still cannot retrieve your password, you will need to ask us to delete your account.
Before deleting your locked account, try to recover the shared folders: create a new account and re-invite a trusted contact who still has access to your locked account. Ask them to copy the shared folders from the locked account and share them with your new account.
